Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk.
This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.

Myth #2 – Introverts are shy.

THIS IS ME nearly to a T. I feel odd because I never knew something could come along and just…EXPLAIN my behavior that I’ve been trying to explain to myself for many years. In fact, I was angstily thinking about this just hours ago! Strange how life happens like that.

This list is uncannily accurate, except for a few very small things I noticed about myself. I don’t MIND small talk…because I love people and I just wish they would talk to me at all. That said…yes, I definitely talk when something appeals to me and don’t have much to contribute otherwise. I’m both introverted AND shy. Also, while I am comfortable with my own thoughts (obviously) I do get lonely very often when I’m not around people, not necessarily just when I discover something and not necessarily just one person either (though lots and lots of people makes me antsy). Though I have to admit, both of those (sharing discoveries and with one person) are USUALLY the case anyway.

Other than that, this post LITERALLY describes me down to each and every line, pretty much. Wow…

Now if only could do something about those social skills…

Maybe I should buy this book xD
